ABOUT the Website:
Based on PHP/MySQL (custom development), the website automatically grabs coupon deals from other websites like Groupon.com and others. All the client did was to sign up with these websites and provide us with the affiliate codes. Rest has been managed by techvoi.
To the frontend users, the website provides an affiliate link to the particular group coupon link once clicked, similar to onespout.
The coupon results are specific to location of the user. The user is able to choose his location from a drop down menu on the homepage of the website, much like Groupon.com and LivingSocial.com.
In the first version 15 cities will be included. The admin, though, has the ability to add more cities (and countries) as required in the admin section.
FUNCTIONING of the Website:
Users are able to register with the website by creating a username (email) and password.
Once logged in, the users are presented with ALL of the deals date wise… 10 at a time with pagination so they can see more. They have the OPTION to filter out deals they are not interested in.
Filtering is done on the following criterias:
a) By CATEGORY:
(i) Apparel: Women’s Fashion, Women’s Accessories, Women’s Clearance, Men’s Fashion, Men’s Accessories, Men’s Clearance, T-Shirts
(ii) Electronics: Cameras & Camcorders, Computers & Accessories, Home Theater
GPS & Navigation, Personal Electronics, Gadgets
(iii) Home: Decor, Furniture, Automotive, Home improvement, Office, Entertainment, Photo Services, Food, Coffee & Tea, Wine, Sweets, Health & Beauty, Home Clearance

b) Filter by (i) price, (ii) by % off deal, and (iii) time left
c) Filter by vendor (e.g., groupon, livingsocial, etc).
Users are able to change their password and email address in the system and they are able to bookmark all deals using ‘ShareThis’
The website triggers emails with the list of deals for a particular city to its registered user. Users have the option of filtering so when they are sent emails, they only receive the deals they are interested in.
